Communication

I'm starting to realize the gap between people when they communicate through texting vs. on the phone or in person. I've had fights start because people miss interpreted texts or not even having a place to sleep all because of the brick wall we run into when we text. Thing that really kills me is the fact that we even take on a alias when we text, we have enough time to actually think about our response is going to be....does this lead to awkward face to face conversations?

  1. I agree. It is so easy to say what you want to say over email, facebook, texting etc, but when we are face to face with the person it seems to be harder to communicate. I guess depending on who the person is you are face to face with. Some people we are more comfortable with than others, but I definately do think that this would usually lead to akward face to face conversations.

  2. I also agree with you. When you base a new relationship whether it be friendship or something more, soley off of texting it makes the transition to face to face communication much harder. I also find it difficult to to sense sarcasm in a conversation via text.

  3. Facebook and instant messaging has killed "normal conversation." I also believe that a large group of people are suffering when it comes to proper spelling and sentence structure.
